Kalymnos Island is located in the South Aegean Sea and is part of the Dodecanese Islands which include Kos and Rhodes. As it does not have an international airport, it is a very unspoilt island, yet easy to get to as it is only about 30 minutes by ferry from Kos, which has an international airport.
Alternatively, fly to Athens and take the 1hr domestic transfer flight or ferry to Kalymnos. Ferry services to Kalymnos are also available from Rhodes, Samos and other Greek Islands. The properties are located approx 8Km from the port and 3Km from the airport.
The island is famous for its sponges and the local divers venture daily into the crystal blue waters to collect the beautiful sea sponges from the seabed. It is also a favourite with rock climbers who enjoy the many varied and challenging routes in the most picturesque of locations.
