A blend of old with modern, simple but with lots of fascinating detail, you enter the house and you’re immediately struck by the old stall floors – really a unique feature. You marvel at the thickness of the old walls that keep the cool IN in summer and the cold OUT when the fireplace burns bright in winter. The circular staircase that connects the floors is WILD – a one-of-a-kind gem, cast in solid brass. It has snug accommodations and large open spaces for entertaining or just relaxing.
The house, crafted of stone and brick, is nicely sized at around 250 sqm. and has a very flexible layout. The ground floor hosts the big, eclectic country kitchen….there’s a sitting room (with those old stable floors) and a dining room with a “window” that connects it to the kitchen. The first floor has two bedrooms and a sitting room with a balcony. A study and walk in wardrobe and a big family bathroom. The second floor has a huge bedroom with it’s own balcony and the most unique bathroom/wetroom we’ve ever seen – it’s ingeniously curved and very eclectic.
In addition to the main house, there’s an attached cottage arrayed over two floors. It boasts a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/sitting area. The house is a great rental property and has a rental history to prove it. Live in the big house and rent out the ‘Little House’. It is a nice supplement to your income. Or spend the summer in the little house and rent the big one, the choice is yours.
The plot at Casa Eclettica not only lives up to its name, it’s also big and spacious at 3.7 acres. It’s very private and tranquil, and the views are terrific. Rolling fields of sunflowers and wheat, against a spectacular backdrop of the Sibillini Mountains featuring a particularly dramatic view of Monte Ascensione.
You may think that the best part is the garden. The 25 olive trees produce their fair share of exquisite extra virgin olive oil and there are fruit trees, nut trees and ornamental trees as well as a truly eclectic collection of well established flowering plants. Lots of places to sun yourself, lots of shady nooks including 2 ponds stocked with goldfish and carp and planted with flowering aquatic plants and lilies -a rarity in Le Marche. The pure southern exposure delivers full-day sun. And, when it’s time to seek refuge from the Marche sun there’s a 4 meter cool-down pool and some terrific outdoor living spaces, including a pottery workshop, portico and summer kitchen.
When it comes time to enjoy the eclectic offerings of Le Marche, Casa Eclettica is ideally located. It’s close to the piazza of Sant’Angelo with its restaurants, bars, shopping and services. The historic towns of Penna, San Ginesio, Servigliano, and Loro Piceno are all within 15 minutes. Sea and mountains are equidistant at about 35 minutes.
